Parts of Four's bracelets are designed by Evan Sugerman, a US-born artist from Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2011, the label makes jewelry, objects, furniture and installations. With a background in sculptural processes, Parts of Four can be thought of as an intersection between rituals and memories: human, animal, geological, stellar and more. As a design form, the bracelets, especially the Sistema series express P/4's core principle of modularity. The "body" and the "insert" are separate pieces connected by pins. This creates endless possibilities for material and shape combinations.
Oval Parts of Four bracelets are measured based on the diameter of the wrist. There should be some wiggle room, so choose the size that is slightly larger than the actual wrist circumference.
"The material is the substance. The brand believe in the magic and ability of the material to hold history and power. The material draws the shape. Rather, it is a dialogue, a spiritual dialogue that emerges between our multiple stories. It is not a reflection on world events, but an exploration of inner space, a building and expanding on it and ourselves, in layers and in leaps, slowly and suddenly. Our goal is to create magical objects: hard-edged, solid, industrial shamanic tools." All of Parts of Four's jewelry is non-gender specific and non-seasonal.
